Responsibilities
- Calculate and prepare payroll cheques: Accurately process payroll by calculating wages, deductions, and issuing payments.
- Calculate fixed assets and depreciation: Track and calculate the depreciation of fixed assets to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain financial records: Establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements: Keep up-to-date general ledgers and prepare comprehensive financial statements.
- Post journal entries: Accurately record financial transactions through journal entries.
- Prepare financial reports: Compile and prepare a variety of statistical, financial, and accounting reports as needed.
- Prepare tax returns: Accurately prepare and file tax returns in compliance with regulations.
- Prepare trial balance of books: Ensure accuracy by preparing a trial balance of books to check for discrepancies.
- Reconcile accounts: Regularly reconcile accounts to maintain accuracy and identify any errors or inconsistencies.
