- Taking responsibility for vehicle condition, conducting inspections on tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Managing payment transactions for goods received and disbursed.
- Conducting brake adjustments as part of regular vehicle maintenance.
- Performing emergency roadside repairs when necessary to ensure the continuity of transportation.
- Conducting pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle integrity and safety.
- Carrying out preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
- Communicating with central dispatch, relaying information effectively during transport.
- Recording cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption for documentation purposes.
- Safely tarping and securing cargo to guarantee its protection during transit.
