Responsibilities of Fire Life Safety Officer:

  1. Fire Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify fire hazards and ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards.
  2. Emergency Response Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain effective fire emergency response plans to protect life and property during emergencies.
  3. Fire Drills & Training: Organize and conduct fire drills, evacuation exercises, and training sessions for employees to ensure preparedness in case of an emergency.
  4. Fire Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all fire safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, alarms, sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting, are regularly inspected, tested, and maintained.
  5. Safety Audits & Reporting: Perform routine safety audits, document findings, and report safety concerns or violations to management for corrective action.
  6. Risk Assessment: Analyze fire risks in various areas of the facility and recommend solutions to minimize fire hazards and improve safety measures.
  7. Compliance with Regulations: Stay up to date with local fire safety regulations and ensure that the organization is fully compliant with all legal requirements.
  8. Accident Investigation: Investigate fire-related incidents, accidents, or near-misses to determine the cause and develop preventive measures.
  9. Safety Awareness Campaigns: Promote fire safety awareness through posters, newsletters, or meetings to educate employees about fire hazards and safe practices.
  10. Collaboration with Authorities: Coordinate with local fire departments, safety inspectors, and other relevant authorities to ensure smooth safety operations and readiness for emergency situations.
