Responsibilities
- Book appointments
- Cut and trim hair based on client’s instructions or preferences
- Shampoo customers’ hair
- Shave and trim beards and mustaches
- Offer hair treatments like waving, straightening, and tinting, as well as scalp conditioning massages
- Supervise other hair stylists and staff
- Analyze hair and scalp conditions, providing basic treatment and beauty care advice
- Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses for hair coloring and styling
- Apply hair extensions
- Clean and style wigs and hairpieces
- Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair
- Suggest hairstyles suitable for clients’ physical features or based on their instructions
- Perform receptionist duties
