Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate as a member of a two-person team or within a convoy.
  2. Load and unload various types of cargo.
  3. Acquire necessary special permits and documentation for transporting goods internationally.
  4. Drive and operate straight or articulated trucks for the transportation of materials and merchandise.
  5. Supervise the overall condition of the vehicle, including tire, light, brake, and cold storage inspection.
  6. Execute brake adjustments as required.
  7. Perform ad hoc repairs in case of roadside emergencies.
  8. Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, assuming responsibility for all vehicle aspects.
  9. Implement preventative maintenance measures on the vehicle.
  10. Receive and transmit relevant information to central dispatch.
  11. Record details regarding cargo, service hours, distance covered, and fuel consumption.
  12. Secure cargo using tarps and ensure its safety throughout transit.
