Responsibilities
Tasks
- Aligning and maneuvering pipe or drill stem sections from the rig derrick platform.
- Operating and performing maintenance on drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions, and mechanical equipment.
- Aiding in the assembly, disassembly, and transportation of drilling and service rigs.
- Managing the handling, sorting, and movement of drill pipes, tools, cement, and various materials.
- Conducting rig area cleanup activities.
- Collaborating in the setup, teardown, and relocation of drilling and service rigs and associated equipment.
- Assisting fellow workers in the upkeep of drilling equipment situated on the drill floor.
